02
"Service" refers to watch repair, assessment, restoration, and related work carried out by Thong Mechanism, as well as access to our website at thongmech.live.
03
"User" or "You" means any individual who visits our website or submits a watch for service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, submitting an enquiry, or delivering a watch to us for service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person or an organisation, you warrant that you have the authority to do so.

If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, please refrain from using our website or submitting items for service.

We serve clients throughout Thailand, primarily from our Bangkok workshop. We reserve the right to decline any item we consider beyond our current scope or that would require parts we cannot responsibly source.

4. User Responsibilities

When using our website or engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when submitting enquiries or intake forms.
  • Disclose any known damage, previous repairs, or alterations to any watch you submit for service.
  • Collect your watch within a reasonable time following notification that work is complete (typically within 30 days).
  • Use our website for lawful purposes only and avoid any conduct that could harm our systems or reputation.
  • Not reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit any content from our website without prior written permission.

You are responsible for ensuring that any watch you submit belongs to you or that you have the owner's authority to have it assessed or repaired.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, photographs, service descriptions, layout, and trade names — remains the property of Thong Mechanism or its licensors. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to view and print content from our website for your own informational use. This licence does not extend to commercial use, republication, or redistribution.

Any service records, photographs, or documentation we produce in relation to your watch may be retained for our internal records and quality purposes.

6. Payment Terms

All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are subject to confirmation at the time of service acceptance. The prices listed on our website represent indicative starting points; actual costs are confirmed once a watch has been assessed.

For the Antique Watch Restoration service, a detailed quotation is provided before work commences. We will not proceed without your written or verbal confirmation of the agreed price.

Payment is due upon collection of your watch. We accept cash and standard bank transfer. If parts or materials must be sourced in advance, we may request a deposit, which will be clearly agreed in writing beforehand.

If you decide not to proceed after an assessment has been completed, a reasonable assessment fee may apply, which will be communicated clearly before any work begins.

7. Service-Specific Terms

7.1 Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided in good faith but are not binding commitments. The Watch Wellness Check is typically completed within 2–4 days; Movement Cleaning & Regulation within approximately two weeks; Antique Watch Restoration timelines vary and will be discussed individually. Delays may occur due to part availability or the condition of the watch.

7.2 Parts and Materials

We use parts that are appropriate to the age, make, and condition of each watch. For older or less common models, period-appropriate or compatible alternatives may be sourced. We will always discuss significant parts decisions with you before proceeding.

7.3 Uncollected Items

If a watch is not collected within 60 days of our completion notice, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you. Items not collected after 90 days may be stored at our discretion, and we reserve the right to charge a modest storage fee after this period.

7.4 Service Records

We provide a written summary of all work completed. Please retain this documentation, as it forms part of your watch's service history.

8. Disclaimers

Our website is provided for informational purposes. While we take care to keep content accurate, we make no representations about the completeness or currency of information published.

Watch repair involves inherent uncertainties. The condition of a movement or case may not be fully known until disassembly. We will communicate any findings that affect the scope or cost of work before proceeding, but we cannot predict every outcome in advance.

We do not hold ourselves out as insurers or valuers of watches. Any comments made about a watch's condition are observations from a repair perspective, not formal valuations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that specific service.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of sentimental value, loss of use, or any damages arising from delays outside our reasonable control.

In the unlikely event that a watch in our care sustains damage during service, we will discuss resolution options directly with you in good faith. Nothing in this section limits liability for our own negligence or for any rights you hold under the Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 or applicable Thai law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Thong Mechanism harmless from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable costs) arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  • False or misleading information you provided in connection with a service.
  • Your submission of a watch that you did not have authority to present for service.

11. Termination

You may withdraw from a service engagement at any time before work has commenced, without charge. Once disassembly has begun, reasonable costs for work already performed may apply.

We may decline to continue a service if we identify concerns about the provenance of an item, safety of our staff, or feasibility of the work requested.

Upon termination, clauses relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution continue to apply.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

We encourage an informal resolution process first. If you have a concern, please contact us directly at [email protected] or by telephone at +66 2 294 67 38. We will endeavour to address your concern within 14 days.

If informal resolution is not possible, disputes may be referred to mediation under Thai law before proceeding to litigation.

13. General Provisions

Entire Agreement. These Terms and Conditions, together with any written service quotation or intake form, constitute the entire agreement between us regarding the matters covered.

Severability. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to do so at a later time.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under this Agreement without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor business.

Notices. Formal notices should be sent in writing to our address or by email to [email protected].

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.

For existing service engagements, the terms in effect at the time of the original agreement will apply unless we notify you of changes and you continue to use our services. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
